The adventure far exceeded my expectations. I had the opportunity to explore and find out more about a part of my city and visit places that I wouldn't normally visit. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly - he even took us for a pint afterwards! A thoroughly enjoyable day.

This tour was a fantastic insight to a part of London that usually gets overlooked - I will definitely be going back to Hoxton to explore some more!

The only thing I would say is that we did the East London Uncovered on a Sunday so many of the attractions you see along the way were closed like the Pie and Mash shop, the Circus School, the Modern Art Museum, Huxton Markets and a couple of other things. However as a positive on Sunday the Brick Lane markets are on which are really interesting and you can have an amazing Salt Beef Pretzel Instead of the Pie and Mash. So Sunday could actually be preferred by some people. Nina was our guide and she was great, full of enthusiasm and deep knowledge of London history which was fascinating. I learned a lot about street art and have a whole new appreciation for it and now keep an eye out for specific artists. One thing that would be great is if at the end you were given a few pages of notes to take home as there was so much to remember. All in all a great thing to do in London for locals or tourists alike. One thing to mote the meeting point for East London Uncovered is outside the tube exit underground so if you arrive by another form of transport you need to go down into the tube station to find Martins Newsagent

Totally loved this East End Uncovered trip. I've walked some of these streets many times before without ever seeing the gems of history or the curious hidden quirks which our guide uncovered. Fascinating and thoroughly recommended!!

OUr guide is very knowledgeable about the area we were touring and I learned a lot, not just about East London, but also about street arts which I considered a bonus. However, I do feel the 30 minutes talk about general history of London a bit long winded and not neccessary.

We thought Paul did an excellent job of explaining interesting aspects of areas we were walking through as well as the markets.

A few comments on the East End Tour: Although some graffiti is interesting we both felt there was little bit too much emphasis placed on that aspect. It would be better if we got a taste of the "traditional" English meal not necessarily make that our lunch. Last comment is that I think since the majority of people are going on the tour are probably tourists the tour should end at a tube station not in a small street.

Our family of 4 took the East End Uncovered tour with Carol as our guide. We really enjoyed our day despite the heavy rain which persisted throughout most of the tour. Carol was knowledgeable and enthusiastic despite the torrential rain! Our teenage boys were really keen to see some of London's 'street art' and were not disappointed. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our guide was Jonnie and he was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge on the area was unbelievably good. I cannot recommend the London East End walk enough. We got to see a part of London I never knew existed after more than 10 visits there which is sad because it is just such an interesting area to explore with someone as knowledgable as Jonnie.

I absolutely loved the East End tour. It showed a side of the city that not even most locals know about it and it was great to explore the art and culture that is hidden there. Our guide was amazing and had knowledge about so many things. I will hopefully be coming back for more!

We had a great time! Jo was a wonderful tour guide and we really enjoyed the experience. 5 hours strolling around the East End flew by and it was a perfect way to spend our day. If you don't know much about London, I highly recommend this tour!

Like the comment below we also went on the East End Tour with Carol, in fact I think it was on the same day as this other reviewer. Carol the guide was lovely, very friendly who made herself accessible to everybody in the group, there was 8 of us on total and we covered a lot of ground and various topics, aswell as walking through Spitlefields, went to an Antiques fair, pie and mash shop was an experience as the owner was a character which was entertaining. We finished on Brick lane after a 5 hour walk, where we walked through on our own on the way home. Looking to get a curry. Would definately recommend this tour.

I have recently moved back to London and decided that I wanted to see a lot more of the City this time around. I booked this tour as I have never really experienced the East of London and thought this tour seemed good value. In fact everyone on the tour I did lived in London so this is clearly an experience for Londoners and tourists alike.

I was pleasantly suprised by the whole experience. The tour was 5 hours in length, which I thought was fantastic value, and it even included an authentic East End Pie and Mash lunch, which was a delicious highlight.... :)

This tour went to places I never would have thought to look myself, and our tour guide Carol offered a brilliant insight into all the different architectures displayed around London. We also got to see several of the 'invader' art pieces that are hidden around the city, something I never knew was there and immediately Googled when I got home. We also saw several spots where Banksy works of art have been over the years.

Each tour I understand is slightly differemnt as it depends what is open on the day. We went to see a circus school in an old powerplant, to see an art exhibition in Hoxten, to Nick Hornsby's story store and to see an antique furniture restoration place - and this was on top of all the other tour highlights!

I can definately recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know more about East London.

Despite the rain being constant we had a really interesting and informative trip (and some great pie and mash!). Just the two of us with Joe our guide. Went down streets I would never have taken and enjoyed looking out for the 'street art'!

We did the East End Uncovered Tour. Our guide Carol toke us by the hand to discover the trendy and colorful area around Old Street/Shoreditch, showed us very interesting places that a usual tourist guide or book would not present - i don't want to name them here in detail not to spoil the experience :-). Because of March it was only the 2 of us, me and my boyfriend, but the tour was realized despite from that, which was great. So we had a very personal time together with Carol who did a very good job. This was one of the nicest day we ever spent in London! It was very diversified and exciting and on the other hand relaxing to just follow somebody who is familiar with everything for some hours.
Carol, if you read this :-) thanks again - and be informed: we have found the mentioned Banksy behind glas at the place "Cargo" in Rivington Street. If you like you can take a look in my facebook pictures. We will look out for other urban adventures in the future.
